In 2015, U.S. imports of overhead traveling crane, hoist, and monorail system totaled 1,499 million USD, which was 101 million USD (7%) more than the year before.

China never ceases to impress: the latest luffing jib crane produced at Manitowoc's Zhangjiagang plant is believed to be one of the most flexible and versatile cranes in the world. This MCR 160 crane has a ten tonne capacity and up to 50 meters of main jib, with a capacity of 2.4 tonnes at the end of the jib. It is the second crane of this type assembled at this China-based facility, along with MCR 225 A.

Its primary trading partner was the Republic of Korea, where it supplied 9.2% of its total escalator and moving walkway exports in value terms, accounting for 87.5% of the Republic of Korea's total imports.
