The average beeswax export price stood at $6,158 per ton in 2022, falling by -33.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 146%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $11,033 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($13,278 per ton), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($782 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+20.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average beeswax import price amounted to $12,146 per ton, waning by -8.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a resilient increase.
