Blueberry and Cranberry Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
The average blueberry and cranberry import price stood at $7,617 per ton in January 2022, growing by 3% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2021 an increase of 107% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $8,378 per ton in April 2021; however, from May 2021 to January 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was Morocco ($8,784 per ton), while the price for Chile ($7,605 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+12.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Blueberry and Cranberry Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average blueberry and cranberry export price amounted to $2,127 per ton, picking up by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 42%. The export price peaked at $2,460 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($4,657 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($703 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uzbekistan (+44.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Blueberry and Cranberry Imports in Russia
For the fourth year in a row, Russia recorded growth in supplies from abroad of blueberries and cranberries, which increased by 33% to 14K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 52% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
In value terms, blueberry and cranberry imports contracted to $69M in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated significant growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +23.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +87.5% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 60%.

Blueberry and Cranberry Exports in Russia
In 2022, shipments abroad of blueberries and cranberries decreased by -35.4% to 130 tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, exports showed a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 81%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 301 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, blueberry and cranberry exports dropped markedly to $276K in 2022. Overall, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 46%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $403K. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
