Commercial Printing Price in Vietnam (CIF) - 2021

In December 2021, the average commercial printing import price amounted to $17,946 per ton, increasing by 2.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2021 an increase of 13% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $19,012 per ton in February 2021; however, from March 2021 to December 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($41,894 per ton), while the price for Singapore ($12,793 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In December 2021, the average commercial printing export price amounted to $8,487 per ton, with a decrease of -1.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a mild shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2021 an increase of 17% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $9,815 per ton in December 2020; however, from January 2021 to December 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($40,063 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($5,706 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Commercial printing imports into Vietnam totaled 43K tons in 2022, remaining relatively unchanged against the year before.
