In 2022, the average frozen salmonoids export price amounted to $4,430 per ton, with a decrease of -10.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 13%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $4,926 per ton, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Qatar ($7,740 per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($3,694 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+17.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
