In March 2020, the average hardboard import price amounted to $495 per cubic meter, waning by -23.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2020 an increase of 31% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $650 per cubic meter, and then dropped notably in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2020, the country with the highest price was Austria ($764 per cubic meter), while the price for Brazil ($383 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2020 to March 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average hardboard export price amounted to $1 per cubic meter, falling by -99.9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a precipitous setback. The export price peaked at $1,959 per cubic meter in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
