Honey Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
In September 2023, the average honey export price amounted to $3,355 per ton, reducing by -3.5% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a modest expansion from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, honey export price increased by +11.0% against July 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 61% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,711 per ton. From May 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($6,743 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($1,384 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+7.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average honey import price amounted to $3,769 per ton, falling by -36.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a abrupt setback.
