Imitation Jewellery Price in Germany (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average imitation jewellery import price amounted to $103K per ton, with an increase of 15% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 23% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $112K per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($512K per ton), while the price for Turkey ($14,140 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imitation Jewellery Price in Germany (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average imitation jewellery export price amounted to $238K per ton, with an increase of 7.8% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 21% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $260K per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($553K per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($84,338 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imitation Jewellery Imports in Germany
In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of imitation jewelry, when their volume increased by 21% to 5.4K tons. In general, imports, however, recorded a perceptible downturn.
In value terms, imitation jewellery imports rose rapidly to $489M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a slight curtailment.

The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 21%.
