In July 2023, the average lead import price amounted to $2,540 per ton, flattening at the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 9.8% m-o-m. The import price peaked in July 2023.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Belgium ($2,645 per ton) and Lebanon ($2,634 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($2,206 per ton) and Cameroon ($2,249 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ghana (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Lead Price in Greece (FOB) - 2023
The average lead export price stood at $2,628 per ton in July 2023, with a decrease of -6.3% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 9.4% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,806 per ton in June 2023, and then reduced in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Poland ($2,997 per ton) and the Czech Republic ($2,836 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($2,508 per ton) and North Macedonia ($2,562 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Lead Imports in Greece
