Liquefied Propane Price in Vietnam (CIF) - 2022

In December 2022, the average liquefied propane import price amounted to $696 per ton, with an increase of 5.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a mild reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 when the average import price increased by 18% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $945 per ton. From March 2022 to December 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($757 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($689 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Nigeria (0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average liquefied propane export price stood at $839 per ton in 2022, reducing by -2.8% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.4%. The export price peaked at $918 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
