Maize Bran Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average maize bran export price amounted to $172 per ton, surging by 2.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a abrupt shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 4.5%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $452 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Japan.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Japan amounted to -9.1% per year.
Maize Bran Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022
The average maize bran import price stood at $593 per ton in 2022, picking up by 7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a perceptible contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 97%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $891 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($4,393 per ton), while the price for Singapore ($36 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+18.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Maize Bran Exports in Indonesia
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of maize bran, when their volume decreased by -35.2% to 7.5K tons. Over the period under review, exports showed a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 18%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 12K tons, and then fell sharply in the following year.
In value terms, maize bran exports declined significantly to $1.3M in 2022. In general, exports saw a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 15% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $1.9M, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

Maize Bran Imports in Indonesia
In 2022, supplies from abroad of maize bran decreased by -25.5% to 1.4K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 169%.
In value terms, maize bran imports shrank markedly to $801K in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 216%.
