Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +7.3% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Malaysia (+48.4%), Turkey (+30.3%), Lithuania (+10.0%), Spain (+8.9%), the Netherlands (+8.5%), South Africa (+6.2%) and Poland (+4.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Malaysia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +48.4% from 2012-2022. Belgium and India experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Germany (-7.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of China (+7.2 p.p.), Malaysia (+3.7 p.p.), Turkey (+3.6 p.p.) and Lithuania (+1.8 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2022, the share of India (-2.6 p.p.) and Germany (-6.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, China ($896M) remains the largest mattress support supplier worldwide, comprising 54% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was held by India ($67M), with a 4.1% share of global exports. It was followed by Germany, with a 3.5% share.
