Non-Chicken Table Egg Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2022
The average non-chicken table egg export price stood at $960 per ton in 2022, declining by -25.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a perceptible reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 264%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,104 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($1,490 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany totaled $908 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+19.5%).

The average non-chicken table egg import price stood at $909 per ton in August 2023, with an increase of 16% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 94% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $5,356 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Latvia ($1,381 per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($373 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+28.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, non-chicken table egg exports from the Netherlands soared to 87K tons, rising by 88% on 2021 figures. Overall, exports showed a significant expansion. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
