Overall, the export price, however, recorded a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 20%. The export price peaked at $12,605 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Israel ($2,408 per ton) and Germany ($2,408 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($2,406 per ton) and Switzerland ($2,408 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Switzerland (+10.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, the import price, however, showed a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 105% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $25,506 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to December 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Australia ($16,716 per ton), while the price for Germany ($2,243 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Alcohols; Cyclic, and Their Halogenated, Sulphonated, Nitrated or Nitrosated Derivatives in New Zealand
In 2022, overseas shipments of alcohols; cyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses decreased by -16.1% to 841 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend.
