Price for Cereal Flours; Other than of Wheat or Meslin in Pakistan (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average export price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin amounted to $644 per ton, falling by -7.7% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 35% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $698 per ton, and then fell in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,735 per ton), while the average price for exports to Australia ($607 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin stood at $331 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -42.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 123%. The import price peaked at $708 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($522 per ton), while the price for Italy totaled $257 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+35.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Cereal Flours; Other than of Wheat or Meslin in Pakistan
In 2022, overseas shipments of cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin decreased by -41.6% to 1.8K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, exports saw a slight curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 77%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 3.4K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, exports of cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin declined significantly to $1.1M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 70%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $1.7M, and then dropped sharply in the following year.
