The average export price for compounded rubber, unvulcanised, in primary forms or in plates, sheets or strips stood at $2,346 per ton in January 2024, falling by -8.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 19% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,552 per ton in December 2023, and then shrank in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($4,858 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($1,399 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Germany ($10,018 per ton), while the price for South Korea ($1,487 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
