In August 2023, the average import price for granules and powders, of pig iron, spiegeleisen, iron or steels amounted to $1,500 per ton, shrinking by -18.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 17% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2,034 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
