Price for Liquefied Ethylene, Propylene, Butylene and Butadiene in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2022
The average export price for liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes stood at $941 per ton in 2022, growing by 33% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a slight contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 57% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $1,066 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($10,126 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($917 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+23.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, shipments abroad of liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes was finally on the rise to reach 33K tons after two years of decline. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a deep downturn.
In value terms, exports of liquefied ethylene, propylene, butylene and butadienes surged to $31M in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a slight reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 49% against the previous year.
