The average export price for petroleum resins, coumarone, indene or coumarone-indene resins and polyterpenes; in primary formses stood at $2,131 per ton in December 2022, picking up by 5.2% against the previous month. Over the period from December 2021 to December 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 when the average export price increased by 6.5% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in December 2022.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In December 2022, the countries with the highest prices were Egypt ($2,531 per ton) and Germany ($2,281 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($1,771 per ton) and India ($1,826 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Egypt (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In December 2022, the average import price for petroleum resins, coumarone, indene or coumarone-indene resins and polyterpenes; in primary formses amounted to $1,541 per ton, rising by 2.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2022 when the average import price increased by 13% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,822 per ton. From July 2022 to December 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was Japan ($2,940 per ton), while the price for China ($1,284 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 16%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $324M, leveling off in the following year.
