In August 2023, the average import price for stainless steel; flat-rolled products of width less than 600mms amounted to $4,646 per ton, growing by 3.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 12% against the previous month. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for stainless steel; flat-rolled products of width less than 600mms increased by +62.1% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 61% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
