The average export price for steel, alloy; bars and rods, hot-rolled, in irregularly wound coilses stood at $964 per ton in August 2023, rising by 3.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a mild decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 5.1% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $1,056 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Poland ($1,142 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($717 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (-0.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
