The average import price for wadding; other articles thereof, of man-made fibreses stood at $11,416 per ton in November 2023, which is down by -17.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 33% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $18,145 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($34,210 per ton), while the price for Bulgaria ($2,131 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In November 2023, the average export price for wadding; other articles thereof, of man-made fibreses amounted to $7,357 per ton, which is down by -11.1% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a mild expansion from December 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9% over the last eleven-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, export price for wadding; other articles thereof, of man-made fibreses increased by +3.9% against September 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 51% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $11,297 per ton. From July 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Georgia ($16,341 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($4,062 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iran (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
