The average stationery product import price stood at $2,059 per ton in July 2023, shrinking by -16.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a slight contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 an increase of 31% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,111 per ton in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Turkey ($2,595 per ton), while the price for Russia ($1,040 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
