Triticale Price in Croatia (FOB) - 2022
The average triticale export price stood at $335 per ton in 2022, rising by 32% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced reduction. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $461 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bosnia and Herzegovina ($561 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovenia ($303 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+16.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Triticale Price in Croatia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average triticale import price amounted to $644 per ton, growing by 123% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price posted a prominent expansion. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $742 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($679 per ton), while the price for Austria ($604 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Triticale Exports in Croatia
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of triticale, when their volume decreased by -8.1% to 4.5K tons. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 15%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 4.9K tons, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, triticale exports soared to $1.5M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 51%.
