Exports from Belarus

In 2022, approx. X square meters of woven fabrics of cotton were exported from Belarus; shrinking by X% against the year before. In general, exports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X square meters. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, cotton fabric exports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Russia (X square meters) was the main destination for cotton fabric exports from Belarus, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, cotton fabric exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Ukraine (X square meters), sixfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Kazakhstan (X square meters), with a X% share.

Imports into Belarus

In 2022, cotton fabric imports into Belarus dropped rapidly to X square meters, waning by X% on 2021 figures. In general, imports, however, posted a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X square meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
