The following exporters - Burkina Faso (X kg) and Sierra Leone (X kg) - each reached a X% share of total exports.

Nigeria was also the fastest-growing in terms of the cigars, cheroots and cigarillos exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. Togo experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Burkina Faso (X%), Senegal (X%) and Sierra Leone (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

Cote d'Ivoire represented the major importing country with an import of around X tons, which recorded X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Nigeria (X tons), making up a X% share of total imports. Liberia (X tons), Niger (X tons), Ghana (X tons) and Togo (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2023, the biggest increases were recorded for Niger (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
