In 2020, American imports of cucumbers and gherkins achieved a record $958M due to rising consumer demand. In physical terms, the import volume also grew by 2% y-o-y to 995K tons. Mexico buoys near 80% of the imported cucumbers and gherkins, leaving a small room for producers from Canada and Honduras. These countries feature double-digit growth of suppliers to the American market, while imports from Mexico expand at a slightly slower pace.
