Acetone Price in Sri Lanka (CIF) - 2022
In 2021, the average acetone import price amounted to $1,308 per ton, increasing by 32% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1,475 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($1,574 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($556 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Acetone Price in Sri Lanka (FOB) - 2022
In 2021, the average acetone export price amounted to $2,357 per ton, stabilizing at the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a perceptible descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average export price increased by 11% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,551 per ton. From 2015 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bangladesh ($9,264 per ton), while the average price for exports to Maldives amounted to $887 per ton.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bangladesh (-3.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Acetone Imports in Sri Lanka
In 2022, the amount of acetone imported into Sri Lanka dropped modestly to 999 tons, leveling off at the year before. Overall, imports saw a abrupt descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 2.7%.

Acetone Exports in Sri Lanka

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 15%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 759 kg, and then declined in the following year.
