The average alcohols; polyhydric, pentaerythritol export price stood at $1,550 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -10.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 45% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,737 per ton, and then dropped in the following year.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Thailand ($1,701 per ton) and Malaysia ($1,588 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($1,212 per ton) and Australia ($1,341 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
