In June 2023, the average alloy steel powders export price amounted to $1,877 per ton, increasing by 5.6% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,000 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($2,093 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Africa ($953 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Africa (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
