Almond Price in Uzbekistan (FOB) - 2022
The average almond export price stood at $4,211 per ton in 2022, stabilizing at the previous year. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 33% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,009 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($7,288 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tajikistan ($3,174 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2017 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+10.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Almond Price in Uzbekistan (CIF) - 2023
The average almond import price stood at $750 per ton in May 2023, picking up by 6.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2022 when the average import price increased by 242% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $5,390 per ton. From July 2022 to May 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Canada ($1,500 per ton), while the price for Pakistan ($500 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Azerbaijan (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Almond Exports in Uzbekistan
In 2022, approx. 147 tons of almonds were exported from Uzbekistan; shrinking by -73.5% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, exports showed a precipitous shrinkage. The smallest decline of -2.7% was in 2021.
In value terms, almond exports declined dramatically to $620K in 2022. In general, exports showed a sharp curtailment. The smallest decline of -16% was in 2021.
