In 2022, the average aluminium import price amounted to $3,095 per ton, surging by 25% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, faced a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average import price increased by 68% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $26,950 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($7,824 per ton), while the price for Germany stood at $2,110 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+7.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average aluminium export price amounted to $3,546 per ton, reducing by -40.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average export price increased by 85%. The export price peaked at $8,250 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Latvia ($23,333 per ton), while the average price for exports to Finland amounted to $3,013 per ton.
From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Latvia (+38.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
