Amplifier Price in Norway (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average amplifier import price amounted to $382 per unit, shrinking by -8.7% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 32% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $487 per unit. From May 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($882 per unit), while the price for Malaysia ($32.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Amplifier Price in Norway (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average amplifier export price amounted to $965 per unit, shrinking by -4.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 67% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,680 per unit. From January 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($3,294 per unit), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($299 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+12.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Amplifier Imports in Norway
After three years of growth, purchases abroad of amplifiers decreased by -0.7% to 81K units in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 15% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 82K units, leveling off in the following year.
In value terms, amplifier imports declined to $27M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 33%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $31M, and then shrank in the following year.
