Baby Clothes Price in Canada (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average baby clothes import price amounted to $36,343 per ton, approximately equating the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 an increase of 4% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $37,085 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the countries with the highest prices were the United States ($44,748 per ton) and India ($36,291 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($35,843 per ton) and Cambodia ($35,867 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average baby clothes export price stood at $39,853 per ton in 2022, reducing by -40.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 39%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $68,216 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lebanon (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, baby clothes imports into Canada soared to 1.4K tons, with an increase of 19% against the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
