Baby Food Price in Egypt (CIF) - 2022
The average baby food import price stood at $7,648 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 1.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a mild expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, baby food import price increased by +72.8% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 50%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were the Netherlands ($7,648 per ton) and Poland ($7,648 per ton), while the price for Switzerland ($6,000 per ton) and France ($7,648 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
