Baby Food Price in Estonia (FOB) - 2023
In September 2023, the average baby food export price amounted to $4,564 per ton, shrinking by -44.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a noticeable contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 68% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $8,500 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Kuwait ($12,000 per ton), while the average price for exports to Libya ($2,452 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cambodia (+7.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average baby food import price amounted to $12,277 per ton, which is down by -10.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 16% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $13,706 per ton in August 2023, and then dropped in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($18,256 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($5,777 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Baby Food Exports in Estonia
In 2022, shipments abroad of food preparations for infants increased by 19% to 2.3K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable decrease.
