Baby Food Price in the United Arab Emirates (CIF) - 2022
The average baby food import price stood at $6,732 per ton in 2022, dropping by -4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a perceptible setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 6.3%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $8,570 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Ireland ($18,878 per ton), while the price for Chile ($3,559 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ireland (+6.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average baby food export price stood at $7,896 per ton in 2022, falling by -6.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 31%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $8,453 per ton, and then dropped in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($11,428 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lebanon ($3,355 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iraq (+32.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
