The average ball bearing parts import price stood at $13,103 per ton in July 2023, standing approximately at the previous month. In general, import price indicated a noticeable expansion from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, ball bearing parts import price increased by +60.3% against May 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 61% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $15,680 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($42,508 per ton), while the price for China ($6,486 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+10.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
