Broken Rice Price in Portugal (FOB) - 2023
The average broken rice export price stood at $595 per ton in June 2023, dropping by -3.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 21% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $675 per ton. From January 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($708 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($569 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Broken Rice Price in Portugal (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average broken rice import price amounted to $695 per ton, surging by 11% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
