The average brown rice import price stood at $2,488 per ton in 2022, picking up by 27% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
