Butter Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
The average butter export price stood at $5,329 per ton in August 2023, approximately equating the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a slight contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2023 an increase of 3.9% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $6,973 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to August 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In August 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Croatia ($7,056 per ton) and France ($6,594 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bahrain ($5,106 per ton) and the Czech Republic ($5,109 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bahrain (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Butter Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average butter import price amounted to $5,769 per ton, growing by 45% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild descent. The import price peaked at $7,276 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($8,491 per ton), while the price for Italy ($4,709 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
