Canned Pineapple Price in Portugal (CIF) - 2023
The average canned pineapple import price stood at $1,844 per ton in August 2023, picking up by 10% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 14% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,119 per ton. From February 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($3,624 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($1,224 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+6.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Canned Pineapple Price in Portugal (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average canned pineapple export price amounted to $2,782 per ton, approximately reflecting the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 an increase of 10% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,799 per ton; afterwards, it flattened through to August 2023.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cabo Verde (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
