The average carbon disulphide export price stood at $380 per ton in January 2022, picking up by 13% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($609 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($287 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average carbon disulphide import price stood at $70,356 per ton in 2022, falling by -22.6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a strong expansion.
