In 2022, the average cereals; millet import price amounted to $400 per ton, with an increase of 2.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $417 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($473 per ton), while the price for India stood at $193 per ton.

Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
