The average cereals; millet export price stood at $50 per ton in 2022, which is down by -37.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 43%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $414 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sri Lanka ($269 per ton), while the average price for exports to Nepal ($26 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
