The average cereals; oats, seeds import price stood at $974 per ton in May 2023, which is down by -10.3% against the previous month. Over the period from May 2022 to May 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 34% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,086 per ton in April 2023, and then fell in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,526 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($218 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked at $923 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
