Cereals; Oats, Seeds Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023

The average cereals; oats, seeds export price stood at $282 per ton in May 2023, dropping by -15.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a slight curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2022 when the average export price increased by 6.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $350 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to May 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In May 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($294 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany stood at $271 per ton.

From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (-1.0%).

The average cereals; oats, seeds import price stood at $266 per ton in 2022, surging by 2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a pronounced slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 37% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $556 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($381 per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($144 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
