Cereals; Oats, Seeds Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022

The average cereals; oats, seeds export price stood at $244 per ton in 2022, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a noticeable reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 20% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $361 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Georgia ($367 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($232 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Georgia (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average cereals; oats, seeds import price stood at $1,225 per ton in 2022, declining by -11.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 66% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,381 per ton in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($1,389 per ton), while the price for Belarus ($586 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (+45.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

After three years of growth, overseas shipments of cereals; oats, seedses decreased by -39.4% to 1.3K tons in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 366% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 2.2K tons, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, cereals; oats, seeds exports reduced dramatically to $321K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 349% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $526K, and then shrank significantly in the following year.
