Cerium Compounds Price in China (FOB) - 2023

In September 2023, the average cerium compounds export price amounted to $1,417 per ton, dropping by -33.7% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 an increase of 75% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $2,941 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($5,595 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($620 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Norway (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average cerium compounds import price amounted to $3,395 per ton, falling by -28.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 32%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $19,488 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
