In 2022, the average chalk and dolomite import price amounted to $173 per ton, dropping by -7.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a abrupt contraction. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $324 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
